Forget about sorting by hand.

Once you’ve cracked your nuts, you’re left with kernels and bits of shell all mixed together. Typically, nuts and shells are sorted by hand, or floated (which can lead to rot).

Just load up the hopper, set the level of vibration, open up the adjustable trapdoor, and position two vessels under the output chutes - one for nuts, one for shells.

But when you get into larger volumes, there’s no substitute for a motorised machine.

The Shell Separator works best when nut kernels weigh more than the shells, like peanuts and almonds. It is less effective when nuts and shells have a similar density, like macadamias. For even better results, run the separated nuts back through the Shell Separator a second time.
